By accessing or using Off Duty Nation ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Off Duty Nation is a verified community platform for military, veterans, and first responders including firefighters, law enforcement, and EMS personnel.
The Service is intended for current and former members of the United States Armed Forces (including active duty, reserve, National Guard, and veterans), as well as firefighters, law enforcement officers, and EMS personnel. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Off Duty Nation reserves the right to verify your service or department affiliation.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date.
Off Duty Nation is built on trust and mutual respect. Users must not engage in harassment, fraud, impersonation of military service or first responder status, or any behavior that undermines the safety and integrity of the community. Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal.
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform:
These standards apply to all conduct connected to the Off Duty Nation community, whether it occurs on the platform or off. If a member's behavior at an event, in private messages, or in any interaction connected to this community violates these standards, it is subject to the same consequences. We take every report seriously.
The "Need a Hand" feature and all community assistance within Off Duty Nation exist so members can help each other freely. Users must not request payment, solicit tips, or charge fees for help offered through the platform. We are a community of people who serve and have served. We help because we can, because we have the skills, and because that is who we are. Anyone found requesting compensation for community assistance or exploiting another member's need for personal financial gain will be permanently banned.
All members have the ability to privately report any user at any time. Reports are confidential. The identity of the reporting member is never disclosed to the reported party. Reports may concern conduct that occurs on or off the platform, including but not limited to events, private messages, or any interaction connected to the Off Duty Nation community. Off Duty Nation will review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, suspension, or permanent removal. False or malicious reports are themselves a violation of these Terms.
Off Duty Nation facilitates connections between users for real-world activities. Off Duty Nation is not responsible for the conduct of users at events, injuries, damages, or disputes arising from activities organized through the platform. Users participate at their own risk.
All content, branding, and intellectual property associated with Off Duty Nation is owned by Off Duty Nation. Users retain ownership of content they create but grant Off Duty Nation a license to display and distribute user-generated content within the platform.
Off Duty Nation is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Off Duty Nation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
Individual users may not use the platform to solicit business, advertise personal services for financial gain, recruit for commercial purposes, or otherwise exploit the community for profit. Users found using the platform for commercial self-promotion will be permanently banned. Businesses, venues, and sponsors may promote events and offers through Off Duty Nation's official partnership channels (venue listings, sponsored events, and sponsor packages). If you believe a user is violating this policy, please report them through the platform.
Off Duty Nation reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any user account at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice. No reason is required to be provided for account actions. Users who believe their account was suspended or banned in error may submit an appeal by contacting appeals@offdutynation.com. Appeals will be reviewed at Off Duty Nation's sole discretion and the decision is final.
Off Duty Nation reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
