How reports work and how we keep the community honest.
The Pillars
- Verification. Every member is checked. .mil emails get instant verification on confirmation. DD-214s are AI-pre-screened and human-approved. False claims = permanent ban.
- Human review. No automated bans. Every moderation decision goes through a person.
- Reporter privacy. Your identity as a reporter is never disclosed.
- One strike for the worst. Stolen valor, sexual harassment, threats, and CSAM are immediate permanent bans.
How to Report
Every event, profile, comment, and listing has a Report option. Tap it, pick a reason, add detail, and submit. For urgent issues — threats, safety, child safety — skip the in-app form and email us directly:
What Happens After You Report
- Your report enters the moderation queue immediately.
- An admin reviews it (typically within 24 hours, faster for safety issues).
- We take action: warn, soft-delete content, suspend, or permanently ban.
- You receive a confirmation when the report is closed. We do not reveal the action taken to other parties.
Off-Platform Conduct
If a member harasses or harms another member at an event, in private messages, or in any interaction connected to Off Duty Nation, that conduct counts. You can report it here even if it didn't happen on the platform. Bring screenshots, dates, and any context that helps us evaluate.
Appealing a Ban
If your account was suspended or banned and you believe it was a mistake, email appeals@offdutynation.com with your account email and a short explanation. We review every appeal. Our decision is final.
